This is the biggest stadium based in Gqeberha, this stadium was built for 2010 FIfa World Cup that was held in South Africa.

Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium was named after South African first democratic president and the nobel laureate Mr Nelson Mandela. This stadium has a sitting capacity of 46 000.

This stadium is owned by Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality and is currently a home ground to Chippa United Football Club a professional soccer team that plays in South African first division called DSTV Premier Soccer League.
